Medieval cast copper alloy strap mount. Flat sub-rectangular mount, one narrow end is pointed and there is an angled projection from the left corner of the pointed end (making this much like a child’s drawing of a house but with one of the eaves missing). The obverse is decorated with an incised diagonal cross with a punched/drilled dot in each quarter. There is a circular-sectioned integral rivet with flat end projecting from the reverse, off-centre, towards the narrow flat edge. Length 15.8mm, width 10.5mm, thickness including rivet 6.2mm, thickness not including rivet 1.6mm, weight 1.33g.
