A colourless-glass bead of Roman or Early Medieval date, c. 43-700. The bead is oblate in shape, and made in a yellow-tinged colourless glass with a hold through the centre. The glass is very opaque and was probably made by drawing out from a wire; each end of the hole (on the flattish faces of the bead) has evidence of where the bead was broken/removed from the drawing wire and rod.
