Copper alloy gilded circular brooch. Missing pin lug and part of plate and the central setting; fairly worn. Traces of gilding on front and white metal on the back. Of the two rows of punched decoration on the concentric mouldings the inner has worn to arcs (as shown on the drawing) but there are traces of complete circles, 1.5mm in diameter; the outer row are curved lines forming a very weak S-shape. Plate thickness (excluding centre setting border) is 2mm. Type as Hattatt no. 640.
