This item of ephemera is enclosed between the front cover and page 1 of the Rocheport, Missouri RFD patrons’ names book. The newspaper clipping (partial of two columns) includes recipes such as “Picnic Club Sandwiches" and “Potted Tongue Sandwiches.” The reverse side has an advertisement with mention of the Montclair brand, groceries, and housekeeping. The publication is undetermined, although advertisements for Montclair brand are in Kansas newspapers around 1930. The date inconclusive, although a survey of ingredients resulted in potted tongue sandwich recipes in the 1800s, around 1900-1915, and around 1950.
