GREENWOOD Cal. NOV 4 postmark (scarce? - not listed in American Stampless Cover Catalog); red handstamp PAID; red handstamp large 12; boxed AACHEN 16/12 FRANCO. Backstamps include: New York Am. Packet Nov 29, K.D.O.P.A. (Danish post office) Hamburg double circle 17/12, St. P.A. (Hamburg city post office) oval 17 Dec 56. The letter went from New York to Aachen via American Packet, then via Hamburg to Copenhagen. The method of transit from Greenwood to New York is not known.
