Camp Douglas was a small, but busy town along the railways between Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and where east and west trains intersected with the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. There is no information on who purchased the license for Owney, or when it was given to the dog.
