This jacket is part of a set of an 1890s-era postal uniform consisting of a jacket, trousers, and a hat. The hat has an attached badge. The double-breasted, gray wool jacket has black piping. Two original manufacturer's labels, Maher Brothers of Utica, New York, are stitched inside.
