This mint object is part of the third and last official set of twelve domestic-size postal cards printed as an official souvenir of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, Illinois. The earlier official sets consisted of ten designs illustrating the various exposition buildings and the U.S. Naval Exhibit. This federal postal card depicting the Horticultural Building was one of those. Two other designs -- Fine Art and Machinery Buildings -- were added to make this final set.
