Full-size patent model (U.S. Patent No. 51,534) of a kerosene-burning foot stove or warmer with illumination lens, made by Josias J. Andrews of Clyde, IL, and patented on December 19, 1865. Made in two cylindrical parts held together by two pins. The upper portion has small perforations on top and large perforations around its rim to allow air to escape, while the lower portion includes the reservoir, wick burner, spring-operated regulator, and a raised foot ring with large perforations around its outside edge that create an updraft with those above. Upper part engraved in script on one side "J. J. Andrews / foot warmer", with circular lens opposite; small loop at top center for handle.
