A long-handled knife with a short, hooked blade, possibly used for cutting sugar cane. The blade has a notch on the top edge near the toe. The blade is attached to the pole-like wooden handle with a hafting collar with two (2) rings. Small wooden wedges have been inserted into the rings to secure the handle. The handle shaft is rounded and widens towards the bottom.
