Very worn silver penny cut in half. The obverse contains the crowned bust in portrait within a raised ring. The sceptre is outside this ring on the lower left. Below and outside the sceptre is a complex feature of short raised straight lines and curves, possibly representing foliage or ribbons. The outer edge of the coin is defined by a raised ring of closely spaced pellets. The surviving legend reads: hEN(RICVS). The reverse contains a voided short cross within a raised ring of very closely arranged pellets. Each angle of the cross is filled by a further four pellets. The outer edge of the coin is defined by a raised edge possibly originally of pellets but now mostly smoothed flat. The surviving legend reads: (WA)LTER . ON
