Medieval silver penny of Edward III, 16mm in diameter. The coin is very worn and only ARDUS can be made out on the obverse. The portrait has deep set eyes and a thick border. The reverse shows long cross and three joined pellets with inscription [CIVITAS L]ONDON* suggesting it is a type 5ii?
