Medieval Edwardian silver penny, 16mm in diameter, 0.5mm thick and weighing 0.66grams. The coin is very worn with a dark patina and an uneven surface. Only the crown of a forward facing portrait can be seen and part of the inscription, EDW[...]. The reverse shows a faint outline of a cross and pellets but the inscription is unreadable. As the monarchs name is not wholly visible the coin could belong to any of the Edwardian kings.
