A copper alloy signet ring with a bezel in the form of an oval seal matrix. The hoop is undecorated and of rectangular to plano-convex section. The seal matrix is in the form of a letter I within an oval border. There is a palm motif either side of the letter I and a crown above. The engraving is not of high quality. A ring in Salisbury Museum has a very similar motif (Cherry 1991,42, 18) and was dated to the fifteenth century.
