A cast copper alloy trigger guard from a postmedieval firearm, possibly a musket. The trigger guard measures 92mm in length, 23mm in width and 4mm in thickness. The guard is P -shaped in profile. At the centre of the rounded part of the trigger guard is an engraving of a sunburst pattern set within a rectangular border. There are traces of one iron rivet remaining at the end of the straight section.
