Cast cu-alloy mount or clasp fragment dating from the late post medieval or early modern period (possibly Georgian, i.e. 18th century or early 19th century). The mount is square in shape and probably incomplete. The attachment hook or lug on the reverse is broken off and the surface of the obverse is very worn. It is decorated with the very faint engraving of a stag walking right, with a scroll border above.
