MEDIEVAL SPUR

Post-medieval copper alloy probably late 16th century drop neck spur when the spur decreased in length. The spur is probably for dress rather than function. There are traces of a spiral engraving and a few traces of the original gilding. One arm is broken the other with spur mount intact but no spur which was probably originally a six pointed rowel. The length is 110mm, width 37mm and weight 62.51g.
