Medieval composite strap-end, forked spacer missing, most of front sheet plate decorated with rocker-arm engraving also missing, two rivet holes near concave attachment edge. Outside edge of bacplate in the form of a V. Traces of solder on reverse suggests that there was no knop and that the spacer ended in the same way. Cf. Dress Access. no.685. Length 49mm.
