Probably medieval lead probable weight, teardrop-shaped and of plano-convex cross-section. The thickness diminishes rapidly towards the broad end and more gently to the narrow end. The latter is distorted and close to it a hole has been roughly punched through. Near the broad end another hole is filled with iron. A continuous line of rocker-arm engraving follows the edge of the convex face. Extant length 61.5mm. (estimated length 66mm). Width 37.5mm. Thickness 13mm. The weight (134.09g) does not appear to relate to any system of measurement. The decoration suggests that a date in the 13th, 14th or 15th century is likely.
