Flat sheet mount with five attachment holes. The form resembles a gable end of a building, i.e. rectangular but with a sub-triangular extension (or "roof") on one side. Each attachment hole is surrounded on the outer face by a ring. The three central holes, including one through the apex, are filled with corroded iron. There are small notches in the sides next to the other two holes. The front face is decorated with rocker-arm engraving along the sides and apex and with short engraved grooves along the base. No parallel has been noted. Dimensions are 15.5 x 16.5mm. Thickness 0.5mm. Dates to perhaps the 15th - 16th century.
