Medieval outer sheet plate of copper alloy composite strap-end with one rivet hole near attachment edge, tip of knop missing. The very abraded front face is decorated with lines of rocker-arm engraving, some curving. The knop, with opposed V-shaped and rounded cut-outs, is of the same general type as Norwich Households nos. 232 and 234. On the reverse there is an abnormally clear deposit of solder with an oddly oblique straight end, indicating a full-width spacer. Length >58mm. Width 9.5mm tapering slightly towards knop. Second half 14th century.
