The Portable Antiquities Scheme

Post Medieval Knife end-cap, fully round with human head on a collar or stand. The head wears a double-peaked hat and the eyes and mouth are shown by engraving. An engraved line surrounds the stand. The end of the iron scale tang remain in a slot under the stand. Length 24mm. Diameter 11mm. 16th century.
