Flat rectangular bar-mount, very slightly curved along its length, measuring 57 x 12 mm. It has a central decorative perforation, circular and nearly 4 mm in diameter, and the remains of an iron rivet at either end. There is engraved decoration made by rocking a tracer or engraver back and forth, as well as zigzag rocker-arm engraving. There is an engraved line down either side, and either side of the central hole are strange but identical patterns of engraved lines and rocker-arm which may be intended to resemble plants. Probably a stiffener for a wide strap.
