MEDIEVAL MOUNT

A cast copper alloy circular mount with engraving depicting the Virgin Mary. The head protrudes out from the surface of the mount.The mount has traces of blue enamel and is bent with three rivet holes near the outer edge. One to each side of the figure and one above the head. The reverse of the mount is undecorated and flat (albeit for the fact that it is bent). The mount is brownish-green in colour. The mount is undatable, but a specialist may be able to give more information.
