Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Mannen har långt böljande skägg och smala mustascher. På huvudet sitter en plymförsedd, bredbrättad hatt med nedhängande flikar av hjässkydd. Huvudet är vridet något åt höger. Rustningen nedre del tycks bestå av en enkel kjol- eller kiltliknande klädnad ovanpå tunikan, utan skyddande läderflikar och metallskenor. Höger hand, som troligen burit ett vapen, hålls framför bröstet. Vänster hand fattar om en oval sköld som stöttas upp med hjälp av vänster knä. Skölden är prydd med en bred och slät kant. Kroppstyngden har tydligen vilat på höger ben, medan vänster varit böjt för att ge stöd för skölden. Benen är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Bakstyckets övre del fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Rustningens nederdel är starkt sliten. Nedre partiet av skulpturen är mycket fragmentariskt. Vänster ben, nedanför knäet, saknas. Smalben och fot av höger ben saknas. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, with long, billowing beard and thin moustache, wearing plumed, broad-brimmed helmet with hanging flaps. The head is turned slightly to the right. The lower part of the armour appears to consist of a simple skirt or kilt-like garment over a tunic, without protective leather flaps and metal plates. The right hand, which probably held a weapon, is held in front of the chest. The left hand holds an oval shield which is supported partly with the help of the left knee. The shield is decorated with a broad and smooth edge. The weight of the body rests on the right leg, while the left is bent to provide additional support for the shield.The figure is wearing boots. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. At the top the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The lower part of the armour is severely damaged. The lower section of the sculpture is quite fragmentary. The left leg is missing from the knee, as are the foot and shin of the right leg.
