The case is in the form of a book, with a clasp mechanism. The 'spine of the book is stamped in gold 'SOUVENI' the R is not fully visible.

He has dark wavy hair, sideburns, dark cravat, waistcoat, jacket. He holds something in his hand, on a cord around his neck. The backdrop is painted with a hilly landscape scene. Hand tinted.

Ornate two part case which has separated into two halves. The case is made of a leather panel surrounded by paper imitating leather.
