Ornate two part case which has separated into two halves. The case is made of a leather panel surrounded by paper imitating leather.

Portrait of a young woman, three quarter length, facing forward. One hand rests in her lap and one hangs down beside her skirt. Part of a chair behind her is visible. She has dark wavy hair in a middle parting and wears a dark dress probably of silk with a ruched bodice and long bell sleeves from which emerge undersleeves with cuffs. She has a velvet ribbon pinned round her neck, a brooch at her neckline and a long gold chain down to her waist. The jewellery is highlighted with gold.

Collection of ten stereo daguerreotypes in original box by Carpenter and Westley, 24 Regent Steet, London, whose mark is stamped on the sliding lid of a polished wooden box. Attributed to T R Williams. This particular statue (or a version of it) was exhibited in the Great Exhibition.
