Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. På huvudet sitter en hjälm med långa vajande plymer och spetsigt, uppdraget framparti. Mannen har spetsigt skägg och långa mustascher. Huvudet hålls något lutat. Snett över bröstet, från höger axel, går ett svärdsgehäng i form av en smal läderrem med ett enkelt spänne mitt på bröstet. Rustningens nederdel utgörs av ett övre lager av rektangulära, breda flikar med horisontellt ställda, imiterande, plåtar samt ett undre lager med S-svängda flikar med påsatta halvrunda plåtar. Höger arm hålls framför bröstet med handen vidrörande skägget vilket ger figuren ett drag av tankfullhet. Vänster arm hålls utmed sidan. I vänster hand har det suttit ett skaft eller handtag till vapen. Kroppstyngden vilar huvudsakligen på höger ben. Vänster ben är något böjt. Benen är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Sockeln är enkelt ornerad på sidorna. Bakstyckets övre del fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Rustningens nederdel är delvist fragmentarisk. Höger arm är avbruten strax nedanför armbågen. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, with pointed beard and long moustache. The front section of the helmet on this figure draws to a point and is decorated with a long, waving plume. The head is held slightly bowed. Diagonally across the chest from the right shoulder there is a sword belt in the shape of a narrow leather strap, with a simple buckle in the middle of the chest. The lower section of the armour consists of an outer layer of rectangular, broad flaps with horizontal metal plates, plus a lower section with S-shaped flaps and semicircular metal plates. The right arm is held in front of the chest and the hand fingers the beard, thus giving the figure an air of thoughtfulness. The left arm is held along the side. A staff or weapon handle is held in the left hand. The weight of the body rests largely on the right foot. The left leg is slightly bent. The figure is wearing boots. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. The base is decorated on the sides. At the top the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The lower section of the armour is somewhat fragmentary. The right arm is broken off just below the elbow.
