Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Mannen har stora, svängda mustascher samt är iförd en plymagerad hjälm. Hjälmen är prydd framtill med stora voluter. Under hjälmen, på vardera sida av huvudet, hänger flikar till hjässkydd. Huvudet och överkroppen är vridna åt vänster. Upptill på bröstet är ett parti av manteln horisontellt draperad. Delar av manteln kan också iakttas utmed vänster ben. Rustningens nederdel består av långa flika med halvrunda, imiterande, metallplåtar. I höger hand håller krigaren ett blottat svärd med klingan riktad uppåt. Klingan är snidad separat. Vänster arm är anatomiskt felaktigt utförd. Armen hålls utmed sidan men är bakvänd så att armbågen pekar framåt istället för bakåt. Kroppstyngden vilar på vänster ben, medan höger ben är böjt. Benen är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Bakstyckets övre del fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Skulpturen är mycket nött och sockelpartiets främre del är mycket skadat. Vänster hand saknas. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour wearing a plumed helmet. He has a large curved moustache. The helmet is decorated in front with large volutes. Flaps hang from the helmet on either side of the head. The head and torso are turned to the left. A segment of the mantle is draped horizontally across the upper part of the chest and a section of this mantle can also be seen out towards the left arm. The lower section of the armour consists of long flaps with semicircular metal plates. The warrior holds a bare sword in his right hand, with the blade facing upwards. The left arm is oddly shaped and anatomically false. It is held along the side of the figure but backwards so that the elbow points foreward rather than backward. The weight of the body rests on the left foot, while the right is slightly bent. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. At the top, the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The sculpture is badly worn and the base section is severely damaged. The left hand is missing.
