Krigare iklädd romersk rustning. Mannen har kort krusigt skägg och långa mustascher samt är iförd en plymagerad bredbrättad hatt med nedhängande hjässkydd. Huvudet är vridet något åt vänster. Rustningens nedre del består av långa rektangulära flikar med imiterade, horisontellt lagda metallplåtar som överlappar varandra. På höger axel ses en del av manteln. Med vänster hand har figuren troligtvis hållit en sköld vars nedre avslutning skymtar vid vänster sida av sockeln. Kroppstyngden vilar på vänster ben medan höger ben är böjt och foten placerad på en extra, sekundär upphöjning. Benen är stövelklädda. Skulpturen och bakstycket är snidade i ett stycke. Armarna är snidade separat och sitter fästade vid bålen med dymlingar. Bakstycket är profilsvängt och baksidan är slät. Nedtill är bakstycket framdraget så att det bildas en kraftig sockel på vilken figuren står. Bakstycket fortsätter snett uppåt och bildar en bred platta ovanför krigarens huvud. Höger arm är mycket fragmentarisk och vänster hand saknas. Delar av rustningen samt sockelns sidor är fragmentariska. Text in English: Warrior clad in Roman armour, with short, curly beard and long moustache, wearing plumed broad-brimmed hat with hanging ear or head flaps. The head is turned slightly to the left. The lower section of the armour consists of long rectangular flaps with simulated metal plates affixed to them, overlapping. Part of the figure''s mantle can be seen on the right shoulder. It is probable that the figure held a shield in its left hand, the lower section of which can be partially seen beside the base. The weight of the body rests on the left leg, while the right is slightly bent with the foot placed on a raised section of the base. The figure is wearing boots. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood, except for the arms which are carved separately and attached to the trunk with dowels. The figure is placed in front of a profiled back-board, carved all in a piece with the figure, and with a smooth reverse side, which is drawn forward at the bottom to form a robust base upon which the figure stands. At the top the back-board continues above the heads to form a wide plate-like section over the warriors'' head. The right arm is rather fragmentary and the left hand is missing. In addition to the damage to the arms, sections of the armour and the base of the figure are also rather fragmentary.
