Horizontally, black flat discs are strung on a long, thin rope of plant material. Vertically, between every two or three discs strings were knotted, to each of which four jopstrans, ± 25 black discs and another four white jobstrans (Coix lácrima) were strung. The origin of the black discs (cut from seeds) could not be determined.\ The string is from the carauá (Ananas sativum).\ This belt is made by women, and worn by them during special ceremonies.
