Silk cloth with two painted representations. The representations are painted in such a way that each painting with text stands upright in front of the viewer when the garment is hung in the middle over something. The fold in the middle of the carpet suggests that this was the case. The painting is one of a set of two (the other rug is 6075-58).One half of the rug has a painting of mountain scenery with trees and a house or pavilion on a lake with a boat. Above it are Chinese character marks. The other half has a painting with two rocks in the foreground with leaves, pink flowers and branches behind them, again with character marks above. On the four corners of the blue border there are butterfly motifs. The reverse side is lined with pink cotton, with a triangular piece of fabric set up at the corners to attach the cloth to a rectangular surface.\niewsCloth made of silk with two paintings. The cloth is one in a set of two (the other one being 6075-58). The back of the cloth is lined with pink cotton and has small tringular reinforcements at the corners, by which the cloth could be attached to a square surface.
