Cast copper alloy/lead alloy miniature urn or vase of probable Modern date. The urn is a convex-sided hollow cylinder in form, being slightly narrower at the base than at the shoulders. The foot has two small steps and thereis a shallow groove running around the shoulders above which the urn has a deeper groove under the rounded rim. The urn has two triangular handles attached opposite one another both attached to the urn at the rim and just below the shoulders. Both the front and back of the urn carry a raised curvilinear fleur-de-lys design. A casting seam is present in line with the handles.The urn is crushed and damaged on one side.The item was probably intended for use as a toy, perhaps as part of a dolls house. The classical style of the vase suggests a Georgian to Victorian date.Dated c.1700-1900.
