Probably a post medieval cast copper alloy miniature mortar. Many of these miniature artillery pieces were fired and are often found with exploded barrels from misfires. This appears to have happened to this example. It dates sometime between c1600 and 1900 AD. Most likely to date between c1650 and c1750, as it is similar in form to mortars used in the English Civil War. The length is 68mm, width 40 mm, and the weight is 84.81g.
