A silver finger ring in the form of a strap or miniature belt. It has fractured across the band at one point, no gilding is evident. The hoop, which has a fracture across it, has a band width of 6.3mm, an internal diameter of 22.2 x 19mm and weight of 5.844g.The finger ring has a form typical of a nineteenth century date. The popular form was made by a range of manufacturers, including Spiers (Hart 1978, 133). Details of the strap slide vary, and some have buckle loops. This ring is of nineteenth-century date and therefore as it is not at least 300 years old is not treasure under Section 1(1) (a) of the Treasure Act 1996, Redknap, M, (2013).
