A copper alloy Post-Medieval miniature padlock. It has a circular case but the iron hasp is missing. It is a model only, without a mechanism. The case has a vertical keyhole cover, cast in one, which is rectangular and decorated with three longitudinal grooves present on both sides of the padlock. This would swing aside to reveal the Keyhole on working padlock. There are two ring and groove mock rivet holes, one on either side of the keyhole cover. The padlock measures 15mm in length, 13.55mm in width and weighs 4.17g. A full size example from Surrey, has been recorded, see PAS SUR-FEB773
