Miniature polished flint axe/chisel. Highly patinated, chalky, off-white flint with a patch of very chalky material at the proximal end. The axe is rectangular in outline with slightly flattened edges at the sides. The upper and lower faces taper in to form the cutting edge which is convex. The edges are slightly flattened. The butt end is broken at one side, probably due to the flaw in the flint noted above. The axe has a roughly oval profile. The surface has a chalky patina, but polishing striations are visible in some areas. There are a few deeper flaking scars which have not been completely polished out.
