A miniature claw-hammer head made of lead, 41mm long. The object is of uncertain purpose and date. It has a square central section and a claw terminal. This is the only lead hammer on the PAS database. In view of its diminutive size it seems unlikely that it was used as a hammer. A post medieval date seems more likely, although votive Roman hammers do exist (eg SUR-EB17F7).
