1400
A cast lead alloy miniature cauldron; a toy dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval period (1400 - 1800). The object consists of three miniature cauldrons cast together in a single piece and joined to each other at the body. Each of the three vessels has a flaring rim, waisted neck, and curved, bulbous body with a flat base. The stump of a single rounded leg protrudes from the base of each vessel, the leg of one vessel is almost completely worn away. Two of the vessels have pointed, loop handles attached to the rim and shoulder. The other vessel does not appear to have a handle, although this vessel is damaged and much of the upper body and rim is broken and missing. The cauldron has a grey patina with some green patches.
