A complete copper alloy toy goblet, dating to 1500-1650. The goblet tapers to a small neck near the base, before widening out again a little to form the base. Decoration consists of two horizontal lines around the rim and again just before the neck, and vertical lines spaced roughly about 1mm apart running between the two sets of horizontal lines. The inside of the goblet is plain. The object is dark brown in colour and is a little worn. The length is 19.41mm, the thickness is 1.76mm, the diameter is 11.33mm at its widest and 4.27mm at its narrowest and the weight is 4.84g.A similar object, but in the form of a jug can be found in Egan, G. (2005) Toys, Trifles and Trinkets, p 280 no 8.106. This jug has the same linear decoration, and being slightly larger than the goblet is the right size to form part of a miniature set.
