The medal is round. The coat of arms laid over eight flashes and crowned with a royal crown. In the shield a reindeer surrounded by stars. On the outside a laurel wreath. Green ribbon with a blue stripe in the middle accompanied by a yellow stripe on each side. The medal is kept in ash along with a miniature medal and a trailer buckle.
