New house, com. Runcu, jud. Gorj. Runcu is a commune in Gorj County, Oltenia, Romania. Wonderful creations of nature can be visited in the mountain area (caves, avene, waterfalls, alpine pastures), but also in the spectacular area of the Sohodolul Gorge. The camera lens captured an aspect of popular architecture from 1964. The excavations conducted during that period were part of a research project conducted in several regions of the country. Behind the fence we see the main facade of the house. The layout of the house within the household is traditional: the facade to the nun, the short sides to the courtyard. The construction is built on a 50 cm high socket, plastered and shed brick walls, a four-water roof with tile covers in the scales - the roof of the porch, in four waters, has a hull and a joint of the waters covered with olanas. The planimetry does not follow the plans of the old houses: two rooms tinde. The place of the plough arranged along the entire length of the facade, is taken by the partially closed prespa placed in the center of the facade. The entrance is protected by a roof (supported by two walls and a pillar) placed in the angle formed by the porch and one of the rooms. The decor is made of stucature and painting, carried out under the eaves (vegetable motifs), around the windows (false pillars and niches with obliquely arranged bands).
