Unknown artist
The artist made a medal view that served several times as an illustration in publications about Martin Luther. After the death of Heller, a specimen of Juncker’s memory of honor from 1706 was transferred to the Royal Library of Bamberg with his other estate. (Today JH.Bg.o.76 of the Bamberg State Library) The Aver shows Luther’s head in the left profile, the Revers inter alia a combination of letters, which according to Heller refers to the collection affiliation of medallion view copies. Furthermore, the Dürer monogram and the year “1526” are integrated. It was not least for this reason that Heller included the work under the heading “After Dürer’s paintings and drawings made leaves” in his 1827 published Dürer publication. (Cf. Heller Dürer 1827 II.909.2510)
