Unknown artist
The Stuttgart born architect and monument nurse Heideloff composed a New Year’s Journal for the year 1828. Dürer became the main topic of his death on 6 April of the year. This year. The standing figure of the Nuremberg master is framed by medallions with other artist portraits, which are designated as his students by a banner. Laurel, garlands of flowers and angels contribute to the artist’s exaggeration. Below in the middle, a lettering refers to Dürer’s death anniversary. There is the leaf with different degrees down: on the one hand with reference to the function as well as on heathlete, on the other hand with the monogram Dürer and coat of arms. Heller was in contact with Heideloff (cf. JH.Comm.lighted.4 and 5 of the Bamberg State Library).
