The artist made a portrait of the Carl Holzschuher (cf. Panzer 1790, p. 109). This shows the depicted as a semicircle, dressed in an oval frame. His gaze slides thoughtfully into the distance. On the left, his family coat of arms is integrated into the representation, while an inscription below the portraits identifies. Neither a reference to the artist nor to the time of creation is integrated into the representation, but the monogram Dürer is found. It was not least for this reason that Heller included the portrait under the heading “Leaves made after Dürer’s paintings and drawings” in his 1827 published Dürer publication. (Cf.
