On the occasion of the construction of the Nuremberg Dürer monument by Christian Daniel Rauch (1777-1857), for which the foundation stone was laid in 1828 and which was unveiled in 1840, numerous boasting views emerged. This includes an etching that shows the still image head-on its simple base.
