Chest of Princess Augusta von Preussen (1810-1890), born Princess of Saxony-Weimar, in a bright silk dress, in front of the Wilhelmpalais in Berlin, which is somewhat hidden by a curtain. Augusta married Prince Wilhelm of Prussia (1797-1888), the late Regents (from 1859), Prussian King Wilhelm I (from 1861), who was German Emperor from 1871 until his death. The engraving was created after a presentation by Franz Krüger, who probably made it by the princess soon after the arrival and marriage in Berlin. Not in Cat. 2007. The small stitch format indicates a use in one of the numerous pocket calendars and paperbacks. Old stock of the Märkisches Museum. Designated li. Drawn v.
