For Hanae Mori, it was very important that fabric and silhouette followed and accentuated the contours of the body. In this ensemble, Mori uses different fabrics to accentuate the waist, neckline and length of the body. The bright, lively colours and the dense print are in keeping with the fashion of the seventies, while the cherry blossom motif and the obi-like sash are recognisable Japanese elements.
