Mrs. Frances Bera, (left), 31, of Los Angeles, Calif., and her non-flying co-pilot sister, Mrs. Edna Bower, of Long Beach, Calif., are shown in Flint after winning the 10th annual 2,366-mile Powder Puff Derby. It was Mrs. Bera's third championship and second in a row in the women's transcontinental air race. They finished 15th, but won one handicap scoring system.
