X-ray diagnosis by remote control

Dr. Ruth B. Drown, who has been awarded the certificate of merit of the New York Museum of Science and Industry for her creation of hemorrhage control and diagnostic units, which enable medical men and surgeons to apply the principles of radar in treating their patients, is shown here studying an x-ray plate purportedly taken remotely by one of her machines while the patient was in Wisconsin. Dr. Drown took a drop of the patient's blood which had been sent her and placed it in her machine. Although the patients was several hundred miles away, Dr. Drown says she was able to diagnose an abscessed tooth which is shown on the plate. By using the dried crystals for tuning, Dr. Drown claims she is able to "tune in" on the patient's body and obtain x-rays of the type she is shown holding.
